The Horry County Sheriff's Office has an app that is free to download. You can search bookings/releases, the sex offender registry, and download important forms straight to your phone.
The app also includes information about the eviction process and employment opportunities. Users can also receive important updates through the notification system.
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUESTS
The South Carolina Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides access to certain public records to South Carolina citizens upon request (see South Carolina Code of Laws Section 30-4-15 ). The Horry County Sheriff’s Office does not actively share or release any personal information about an individual except in to comply with legal proceedings or to protect the personal safety of the community or the general public. However, because the Horry County Sheriff’s Office is a public entity, some information may be subject to release through the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act.
*The Horry County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to deny requests for information from those who are not citizens of South Carolina.
