ACC adoptables temporarily available at multiple locations in Horry County

Community members can adopt from the Horry County Animal Care Center at multiple locations. This is due to an influx in shelter population. 

As of 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2025, the Animal Care Center had 230 total pets in their care. 87 of those pets are available for adoption. 

Dogs can be adopted fee-free at the Animal Care Center (1923 Industrial Park Rd., Conway, SC, 29526) and temporarily at a partner location, Tamroc Kennels (201 Bush Dr., Myrtle Beach, SC 29579). Tamroc Kennels is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Cats can be adopted fee-free at the Animal Care Center. Cats can also be adopted fee-free at Tamroc Kennels and PetSmart (1301 Oak Forest Ln., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577), while available. 

Interested adopters are asked to check the Animal Care Center's website to see where pets are located. 

All adoptables at the Animal Care Center are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and microchipped for safety.
