The Horry County Race Series began in 2018 as a single road race along the newly completed International Drive. Since that time, Horry County Parks and Recreation has grown this event from a single race into a fantastic six race series that includes running, kayaking, biking, paddle boarding and canoeing.
Pier to Pier Beach Run
Participants will soak in the beautiful morning views of the Atlantic Ocean as they run along a course taking them between the Springmaid Pier and the Myrtle Beach State Park pier for a unique 5k experience.
Robbie Jordan Memorial Road Race 5K & 10K
This event is perfect for runners looking to set a new personal record in either the 5k or 10k as they race along a flat, fast stretch of International Drive. The children’s fun run makes this an excellent event for the entire family to participate in.
World Famous Blue Crab 5k at Vereen’s Gardens
A scenic 5k run through Vereen Memorial Gardens in Little River. Runners will begin on a section of the Historic Kings Road that was once traveled by George Washington, then traverse the trail system winding throughout the Gardens.
Loris Bog Off 5k
This will be a 5K race event taking place around the Loris High School facility and will be a part of the Loris Bog Festival festivities. This event is being brought to your by the Loris Chamber of Commerce and in partnership Horry County Parks and Recreation.
Ghost of the Coast
This fun run style 5k takes place on our Panther Run trail in the heart of Carolina Forest. Costumes are encouraged during the race and awards will be given in several categories for best costume. The event also includes a trunk or treat, open to all children!
