Voters in South Carolina now have until Monday, October 14, 2024, to register to vote in the 2024 General Election. A court ordered the deadline extension due to the widespread impact of Hurricane Helene.

The extended deadline applies to voters in all SC counties.

Voters can register online at SCvotes.gov, by fax, email, or mail, or in person at the County Voters Registration & Elections office before the October 14 deadline.

Voters who intend to cast an absentee ballot have until 5 p.m. Friday, October 25 to request the absentee ballot from the County Voters Registration & Elections office.

Voters who are already registered can check their registration status, see sample ballots, and find polling locations at scvotes.gov.

Polls will be open for the 2024 General Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
