Communities in South Carolina and North Carolina are still reeling in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Helene, which brought catastrophic flooding to multiple counties.
Over the past week, thanks to the support of our Council, Administration, and community, #TeamHorry has deployed nearly 40 team members to assist in impacted areas.
Horry County crews from Public Works, Code Enforcement, Public Information, Horry County Fire Rescue, Stormwater, and Emergency Management are currently working on disaster relief in Saluda County, Anderson County, Pickens County, Oconee County, and Greenville County.
Team Horry is grateful for the opportunity to be there for our western neighbors just as they have proven time and time again that they are there for us through floods and hurricanes.
Team Horry could not do this important work without the support our Horry County community. You make this possible.
For residents and visitors who wish to help in Helene disaster recovery more directly, the SCEMD website has a number of options for getting involved: https://www.scemd.org/recover/volunteer-and-donate/
