BURN BAN REMINDER: The unincorporated areas of Horry County remain under a burn ban.
Open burning is unlawful until the burn ban has been lifted.
Horry County Fire Rescue crews have been busy, averaging 330 dispatched calls per shift since the beginning of this incident on Saturday.
Some of those are outside fire-related, with residents continuing to burn when the ban is in place.
Current conditions make open burning extremely dangerous.
Do not do it.
Smoke will remain visible in the general Carolina Forest area, and HCFR crews will be investigating, monitoring, responding to and fighting fires related to the incident and throughout Horry County.
Help us help you by not adding to the fire incidents to which our crews must respond.
We sincerely appreciate the hard work of our @horrycounty911 Emergency Specialists fielding and processing these many dispatched calls.
