A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Horry County from Tuesday (01/21/2025) afternoon through Wednesday (01/22/2025) morning.
Forecasts indicate up to 2 inches of snow will be possible. Any accumulation will make travel hazardous, especially on bridges and overpasses.
Avoid traveling late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning if at all possible.
Very cold temperatures will impact Horry County through much of the week as well. Community member are encouraged to take action now to protect people, pets, pipes and plants from cold temperatures.
