CONWAY, S.C. - As of 12 p.m. on January 25, 2026, Horry County has returned to OPCON 3 (Operating Condition Level 3), normal daily operations.
Temperatures will slowly get above freezing throughout the day which will reduce any winter impacts around the county. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, especially the more inland you go.
If you are traveling through Myrtle Beach International Airport, you are encouraged to check your flight status with your airline prior to heading to the airport. Several hubs that have flights to and from MYR are seeing greater impacts from this weather event.
Horry County Government offices and facilities will operate on their normal schedules tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026.
Forecasts from the U.S. National Weather Service, Wilmington, N.C., do highlight very cold temperatures for Horry County this week. Horry County Emergency Management encourages community members remain weather aware and take steps to ensure your households and neighborhoods are prepared through the rest of the winter season.
