Horry County Government's offices and facilities will close at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, and remain closed through Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, due to an approaching Winter Storm.
Horry County is currently under a Winter Storm Warning issued by the U.S. National Weather Service.
Horry County Solid Waste Authority facilities—including the landfill, all recycling convenience centers, material recycling facility, household hazardous waste facility, and administrative offices—will be closed, and Parks & Recreation and Library programs canceled.
Public safety departments will continue to provide critical services.
Myrtle Beach International Airport remains open but passengers should check the status of their flights with their airlines.
Normal County operations are currently anticipated to resume on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, subject to forecast changes.
Residents may continue to do business with Horry County departments at any time on the County's website.
