Due to mosquito activity in Horry County, Mosquito Control intends to begin aerial spraying on June 25, 2025.

Aerial spraying will continue nightly from two hours before sunset until two hours after sunset as long as weather permits.

The chemicals used for mosquito control spraying are approved by the EPA and pose minimal risk to humans or animals. Individuals with asthma or other respiratory illnesses may wish to stay indoors and close windows and doors during spraying. In addition, homegrown fruits and vegetables should be washed, scrubbed, and/or peeled before eating.
