Horry County Mosquito Control has two aerial mosquito spraying flights scheduled in the coming days. 

The first flight is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, 2025. This flight will include areas that fall between the following locations:

- Ford Taylor Road
- Grace Drive
- Wolf Trail
- Stormy Lane

The make up date for this flight is Wednesday, September 3, 2025. 

Horry County Mosquito Control also plans to conduct aerial spraying on Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Spraying for this flight will concentrate on the following locations in the Wampee/Highway 90 area:

- Pirates Cove
- Edge Road 
- Teal Circle
- Bell Road
- Waccamaw CV

The make up date for this flight is Thursday, September 4, 2025. 

All spraying will occur two hours before sunset and up to two hours after sunset, weather permitting. 

The chemicals used for mosquito control spraying are approved by the EPA and pose minimal risk to humans or animals. Individuals with asthma or other respiratory illnesses may wish to stay indoors and close windows and doors during spraying. In addition, homegrown fruits and vegetables should be washed, scrubbed, and/or peeled before eating.

Beekeepers who have not already registered their beehives are advised to do so online here.

When aerial spraying is scheduled, the interactive map will be updated to show the target spray areas outlined in red. Beehive owners are asked to check the aerial map daily here.
