Adopters and fosters are needed at the Animal Care Center!
As of this article, the Animal Care Center has more than 400 total animals in shelter care. 106 of those pets are currently available for fostering, adoption, or rescue.
Pets range in age, size, and breed. Puppies and kittens as young as one-month-old and adult dogs and cats 10 years old and older are available. Adoptions are fee-free. The shelter supports the needs of foster pets, from medical care to supplies, if it is available to give.
Long-term fosters (6 months+) are needed to support pets undergoing heartworm treatment. This treatment is already paid for, and fosters would need to guarantee the foster pets will make their appointments. To better guarantee the success of the treatment, pets undergoing treatment need calm, low-stress, comfortable environments to relax and recover. This is not always possible in the shelter environment.
