Definition: When two or more public entities (governments) purchase from the same supplier under a single competitive process.

Opportunities

State of South Carolina
Many State of SC contracts are available for use by Horry County. There are three major state agencies that provide these contracts.

  • MMO - Materials Management Office
  • ITMO - Information Technology Management Office (call Procurement for help searching these contracts) - Photocopier information is at the bottom of this page.
  • Engineer - Office of the State Engineer
US Communities

U.S. Communities™ Government Purchasing Alliance is a nonprofit government purchasing cooperative that assists local and state government agencies, school districts (K-12), higher education, and nonprofits in reducing the cost of purchased goods through pooling the purchasing power of public agencies nationwide. This is accomplished through competitively solicited contracts for quality products through lead public agencies.

GSA (General Services Administration)

GSA is the procurement arm of the federal government. At this time, GSA can offer Horry County two categories (schedules) of contracts.

Sourcewell (Formerly National Joint Powers Alliance)

Beginning June 2018, the company formerly known as NJPA will be transitioning to Sourcewell. Sourcewell is a public agency, member-driven service cooperative. Sourcewell offers a multitude of contracted products, equipment and service opportunities to education, government and other non-profit entities. Sourcewell contracts

Sourcewell contract with UNIFIRST CORPORATION for Uniforms - Uniform options available include two full rental programs, value lease, and direct purchase; other items are also available under this contract such as mats and towels.
