General Job Description

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Under general supervision, is responsible for supervision of After School Care Children’s Programs. Responsibilities include: overseeing, organizing, and planning activities for children ages 5-12 years old. Assists with games, special events, and programs under the countywide Recreation Department Program. Ensures playing surfaces are clear and safe and programs are prepared for the activity. Administers general First Aid. Enforces and interprets rules and regulations in designated recreation districts. Provides assistance if necessary.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervise and Monitor children - Lead and or support age appropriate activities - Assist with homework help when applicable - Maintain program structure - Build positive relationships - Ensure safety and compliance - Support snacks - Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Minimum Requirements
  • KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS: - Must have considerable knowledge of preparing and assisting with recreational programs, athletic activities and coordinating of recreational facilities. - Must be able to pass the pre-employment background check and physical. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid SC/NC license.
