Please indicate which centers you are applying for.** Recreation Leaders are responsible for functioning as the initial contact with customers in both person and by phone at the various recreation locations. Answers the telephone; provides accurate information to callers and/or forwards calls to appropriate staff person. Performs a variety of customer service duties to ensure a pleasant experience at the facility as a representative of the Horry County Parks and Recreation Department. Under the general supervision of the District Supervisor, must be physically and mentally capable of best meeting the varying needs of customers. The Recreation Leader develops relationships with community groups and individuals to foster strong positive customer feedback. Work involves the exercise of initiative, sound judgment, and discretion in the performance of duties. The Recreation Leader ensures the efficient daily operation of the front desk within the County Facility and ensures all work is conducted according to County Policy, codes and standards of quality.
