General Job Description

1. Fuel multiple types of vehicles and heavy equipment. 2. On occasion fuel generators and other equipment at various locations. 3. Adjust fluid levels; engine, transmission, and hydraulic oils on various equipment. 4. Report maintenance/repair needs to Logistics and Asset Manager. 5. Loading fuel at terminals. 6. Keep proper records of fuel and fluid usage of equipment serviced. 7. Knowledge, understanding, and application of safety practices related to this position. 8. Knowledge and understanding of proper handling of hazardous materials relating to this position. 9. Completion of all paperwork and records in an accurate and timely manner. 10. Operate various pieces of heavy equipment. 11. Knowledge and understanding of HAZ-MAT, EPA, OSHA regulations. 12. Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required. 13. Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

Position Minimum Requirements
  • Requires high school diploma with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment operation or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Knowledge of operating a fuel truck. Knowledge and understanding of vehicle and equipment fueling Gas & Diesel Must be able to pass the required pre-employment physical and background check. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Class A Commercial Driver’s License, with an air brake endorsement, tanker, and Hazardous Material endorsement
