General Job Description
This position is within the Airport Systems Group and reports directly to the Director of IT. May require after hours or weekend work to minimize disruptions to Airport business. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, consistent follow-through to assure problems are resolved. Ability to respond to last minute requests. Strong communication skills to be able to work with Airlines and tenants to troubleshoot technical issues. Ability to respond calmly to high pressure situations to professionally communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
- Duties for this Position

- Resolve work orders and trouble calls from Airport tenants and HCG Airport employees.
- Will use personal knowledge and troubleshooting skills to support Airport Tenants and county employees in areas of networking, telephone, and PC hardware/software and application issues.
- Escalates incidents/queries to Tier-2 personnel when unable to resolve trouble call.
- Other duties as directed by management.
- Position Minimum Requirements

- Associate’s degree in Computer Technology supplemented by one year of computer experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some helpdesk or hands on repair experience preferred.
- Must have the aptitude to learn new hardware and software applications quickly and the ability to think outside the box to locate solutions.
- Individual must possess knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Office, Windows, fundamental networking, hardware troubleshooting, and other PC applications including repair experience. All IT related certifications are a plus.
- Candidate must pass a background check without indication of possible aviation security risk as required by the Transportation Security Administration, a valid SC motor vehicle operator’s license, and meet pre-employment drug screening requirements.
