This position may fill the role of Part-Time Athletic Assistant, Part-Time After School Program Leader, or Part-Time Front Desk Staff. Locations currently in need of staff include Carolina Forest, Green Sea Floyds, and South Strand Recreation Centers. Applicants interested in any of these positions or locations should apply here. Under supervision is responsible for assisting program coordinators with adult and youth programs, activities and special events for the Horry County Parks and Recreation department. Responsible for supervision of After School Care Children’s Programs. Responsibilities include: overseeing, organizing, and planning activities for children ages 5-12 years old. Assists with games, special events, and programs under the countywide Recreation Department Program. Ensures playing surfaces are clear and safe and programs are prepared for the activity. Administers general First Aid. Enforces and interprets rules and regulations in designated recreation districts. Provides assistance if necessary. Is responsible for functioning as the assistant for programing and athletics activities for children ages 4-15 years old. Assists with games, special events, and programs under the countywide Recreation Department Program. Performs a variety of customer service duties to ensure a pleasant experience at the facility as a representative of the Horry County Parks and Recreation Department. Functions as initial contact with customers both in person and by phone at the various Recreation Center locations. Answers the telephone; provides accurate information to callers and/or forwards calls to appropriate staff person.
