General Job Description
The primary function of the Administrative Assistant is to assist in the maintenance of attorney files and provide information to the public.
- Duties for this Position

- Assisting clients in a professional manner
- Answering phones in a professional manner and entering client phone calls and walk in questions into the Defender Data database
- Filing any and all paperwork for attorney files
- Determining if any paperwork must also be sent to the client
- Opening and closing attorney files
- Responding to client mail
- Filing any and all paperwork with the office of the Clerk of Court
- Assisting any and all other support staff when needed
- Visiting clients at the detention center if requested
- Assist at the courthouse when necessary
- Processing Clerk of Court Transmittals to locate client Applications and warrants
- All other duties assigned in conjunction with the position
- Position Minimum Requirements

- Use personal computer/software programs and general office equipment
- Effectively utilize Defender Data, Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Handles matters with integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to be patient with staff and all clients
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to pass the required pre-employment physical and background check
