General Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:
Under general supervision, operates a variety of types of heavy equipment, machinery and tools to perform maintenance on beaches, roadways and drainage structures.

- SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES:
1. Maintains drainage on and near beaches
2. Operates specialized equipment empty refuse containers on beach
3. Capable of operating backhoe and other heavy equipment as assigned.
4. Operates various pieces of heavy equipment. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
5. Performs other related duties as required/assigned.
6. Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
7. Should expect seasonal variations in work schedule and assignments

- MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school education with two to three years of experience of truck, backhoe, or any other equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Knowledge of the required safety rules and regulations. Must be able to pass the required pre-employment physical and background check.
