GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under general supervision, operates a tractor and tools in order to perform general services on the beach.

- SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspects assigned section of County maintained beachfront to determine problem areas; alerts supervisors regarding maintenance needs.
2. Operates a tractor to accomplish a variety of maintenance tasks on the designated beach areas.
3. Utilizes various types of tools as necessary to perform beach maintenance duties including but not limited to: shovel, mechanic’s tools, carpentry tools, transit, radio, etc.
4. Removes debris along County maintained beaches.
5. Performs routine preventative maintenance and cleaning on department tractor and equipment.
6. Receives work orders and completes jobs in a timely manner as prescribed by the department. Submits daily production reports.
7. Transports equipment and materials to job sites; hauls debris away from site.
8. Performs duties periodically including but not limited to: pick up supplies as needed, assisting in supervision of other employees assigned to beach services projects, etc.
9. Performs related duties as may be required.
- Position Minimum Requirements

- MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Requires junior high school education with experience in tractor operation and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Must possess a valid S.C. CDL driver’s license with appropriate endorsement. Required to pass pre-employment physical and background check.
